
Pre-cooked chicken for Balti cooking
Pre-cooked chicken can be used in our balti dishes especially if you are looking for a faster way of producing your balti dish.
Ingredients:
600g of chicken breast (2 packs of 300g chicken breasts = 4 breasts)
2 tblsp of ghee
1 onion peeled and finely chopped
1 tsp of balti mixed powder
1/2 tsp of salt
500ml of water
Method:
- Cut each chicken breast into 3 lengthways. Then cut into 6 pieces crossways making 18 pieces per breast.
- Add all the ingredients to a pan, cover and bring to a boil.
- Turn down to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes.
- Drain and use as portions of 18 pieces or cool and freeze in portions.
- To re-use frozen portions, ensure that they are de-frosted fully before use.
